Programs Individual Educational Program Academic Program
Pine Haven's school is a specialized setting which assists students who have personal difficulties, and are often hostile or disinterested toward learning. Teachers work with students to teach them to make constructive decisions, and to improve their attitudes and motivation. The school consists of four non-graded, self-contained, elementary special education classrooms, with students grouped by age, development and ability. Population Served: Emotionally challenged boys, with histories of abuse and/or neglect, exhibiting sexually reactive, fire setting, delinquent, runaway and aggressive behaviors with special needs including but not limited to: EBD, LD, CI (borderline), OHI, S/L, DD and school phobia, Autism.   Program and services On-site approved special education program, individual, family and group counseling, psychiatric services, treatment modalities for latency aged boys, including play, expressive art and narrative therapies, evaluation and treatment services for fire setters, including fire safety, group and education.
